PROPERTY TRANSFERS
Reliable legal support for efficient and transparent property transfers.
How can we help?
Our team manages each stage of the transfer process, from drafting initial contracts to completing the official registration at the Deeds Office. We prioritise accuracy, transparency, and a seamless process to ensure a successful transfer for all parties involved.
Our focus is on tailoring property transfer services to fit your unique needs. We manage all legal requirements, verify essential details, and handle documentation, guiding you through each step with clear communication and professional support.
What documents are required for a property transfer?
Key documents for a property transfer include the signed Deed of Sale, the title deed, and any relevant supporting documents for the seller and buyer. For transfers involving inheritance, divorce, or donations, additional documents, such as court orders or donation agreements, may be required.
How does the transfer process differ for inherited property?
When transferring inherited property, additional steps are involved, including obtaining a Letter of Authority from the Master of the High Court and ensuring compliance with estate regulations.
What role does the Deeds Office play in property transfers?
The Deeds Office is responsible for officially registering property ownership changes in South Africa, making the transfer legally binding. After all documents are prepared and signed, our conveyancers submit them to the Deeds Office for final registration, securing the new owner’s legal rights to the property.
